Why does the square skip the screen prompting a receipt to email, text or print?

Why does the square skip the screen prompting email, text, or print a receipt on some transactions?

I believe that happens when Square already has an email on file to send the receipt to.  you can ask to have a setting changed on your account here so that it never sends a receipt automatically.  https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/General-Discussion/WHY-can-t-we-turn-off-auto-sending-of-receipts...
