Trouble with Inventory Tracking
I receive 2000-3000 new SKUs into Square every week. We always bulk import them with quantities which automatically turns the inventory tracking on for all items. Suddenly today , 4/20/2022, the tracking for all my items are showing turned off. But items sales from my stores' POS is removing the inventory quantity and showing in the stock history.
I am concerned about items selling online with the tracking turned off. I currently have about 30,000 skus in my inventory. Does anyone know how to bulk turn the tracking back on? Is anyone else experiencing this lately? Thanks!

What are your settings in your exported Spreadsheet for columns P,Q,R and S?
Current Quantity ------ P This shows Quantity Square has
New Quantity ---------- Q This Shows New Quantity you want to have Square show
Stock Alert Enabled ---R This is Just a Y or blank to enable Stock Alerts
Stock Alert Count -----S This is the count to alert you to reorder.
In excel or spreadsheet program make sure column Stock Alert Enabled ---R has a Y for all items you want tracked. Copy and paste down or auto fill down would turn this all on quickly I believe. This would be for Square POS not sure about it for Square Online since I do not use Square Online. Not sure if this will update for your Online Store through Square POS.

Thanks for the response! We receive and sell one-off items so we have never used the stock alerts because they are not items that we can reorder.
After looking further into it, it seems when I open an item in the item library the tracking is showing off, but if I click edit variations ->manage stock the tracking is showing on. It seems items being sold are being removed from the quantity so all semms to be functioning properly other than the toggle on the edit item page. Until recently, the tracking toggle wasn't on the edit item page with the SKU, unit price, cost, etc. I used to have to click the stock quantity which opened a pop up window that had the location the item was available at, the quantity and the toggle for tracking. Is it possible Square is updating either the edit item page, where the toggle is located or the tracking function and there is a glitch with the toggle being off?

Square is always updating features which is good and bad. Sometimes the new features are needed or requested features, and then sometimes these updates mess up something that was working. This is why there is this forum and a place where us users can ask for feature requests and give feedback on things that have changed.
