Recommended Image Sizes on the Weekly Website Editor

Hi:

I was really pumped when I was notified that I could create an fully-integrated web and e-commerce site on Square....until....I started using the browser-based site editor. Frankly, it's a little klugey. I'm sure I'll have a million more questions, but first and foremost- what is the ideal image size and resolution for images to be loaded into the gallery?  There is NO guidance whatsoever.  I've been forced to import screen shots and even use a ruler on my screen to try and figure out the best image size. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The Square Online Store is getting more and more documentation, it can sometimes be a bit hard to find though. The following on adding pictures to your store is what Square suggests:

"For best results, use images that are 72 PPI and at least 1,000 pixels in width or height. Save images files using the sRGB color profile to ensure color consistency. Large image files can affect page loading speed, so avoid uploading images that are larger than 1MB in size."

You can also crop and resize the image in the browser.

Thanks! That seemed to do the trick. The UI is still pretty buggy- I trust that the engineers and product devs are working the kinks out.  I have to keep logging in and out to get my images to appear in the right place. However, it's moving along (slowly).

When I resize my images in Weebly, they lose resolution big time. The images are larger and crystal clear before I upload them to the website page, but it appears that the editor automatically shrinks them down when they're uploaded and when I stretch them to the size I want, they become very pixelated. Can you please tell me how to fit it or avoid this from happening?

Welcome to the Seller Community, @MellyMel85 👋

Do you happen to know the dimensions of the images you are uploading? I think it's best to edit and resize the images before you upload to the editor. It sounds like the image may be too large so the editor resizes to a default size which would explain the pixelation if you then try to stretch the image out.

Can you post a link to the page on your site with the blurry image?

I'm a photographer and use Square to process my sales at art shows. I thought Weebly could provide a way to integrate a website and inventory management, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to set up images (hundreds of them) with multiple size and finish options. I got so frustrated I just went back to using WIX and Instaproofs. If anyone can provide a DETAILED explanation of how to do this I'm all ears. I would like to set up a gallery where clicking on an image in the gallery will bring up a larger view and the purchasing options.

@4x4Images I'm sorry to hear the frustration! I've merged your post to another thread that helps address the item images in the online store. You can upload multiple images of different sizes, but they will all display the same item image. If you upload a larger image, it will have more of a zoom effect, but it will not display as larger than the others.

I can see how this will be useful to yourself and other sellers and will submit the feedback to our development team for feedback.

??? Sorry, this is not at all what I was asking about. I wanted to know how to set up pricing structure. Example #1: I have hundreds of images that I sell as wall art. I want to offer each image with multiple options (type: matted, gallery wrap, metal print, acrylic print -- multiple sizes: 4x6 through 24x36 -- multiple finishes: gloss, matte, lustre, metallic) and have this same setup for EVERY wall art image. Then I have event shoots where I just sell prints in different sizes and finishes but there may be 500 images per event. How in the world I set up the store features with this level of complication and WITHOUT having to replicate the entire setup for EVERY individual image?
