There are so many Android devices, like literally thousands of new models a year, that Square doesn't have full support for every Android model. Depending on how the manufacturer set up Android it could be set up to appear as a phone. I don't know if you could do some research on that specific model and see what the hacking community has found. Maybe there is some setting you can change.
