Is there a way to filter Category Sales with a date column and by location?

We are trying to get our category sales (Including items sold, refunds, sales, taxes) but have it separated by each of our locations and displaying it by date.  It seems that when creating custom reports or changing filters we end up losing part of the data that we need.

Hi @Powder.  Can you be more specific about this statement — “It seems that when creating custom reports or changing filters we end up losing part of the data that we need.”. What, exactly, gets lost and when?  I think you are talking about two reports here — the standard Category Report (which can be filtered, etc) and the Custom Reports (where you can set up reusable reports and not have to recreate the wheel every time).  But I want to be sure before I attempt to answer your questions.
