How do I upload a Google verification file to my root address?

Hi, @skydivingrental ! Welcome to the Square Community! 

Here's how to upload a Google verification file to your Square Online site:

1. Access Site Editor:

   • Log into Square Dashboard
   • Go to "Online" or "Website"
   • Select "Site Editor" or "Customize"

2. Upload Verification File:

   • Click on "Settings" (gear icon)
   • Look for "Advanced" or "Custom Code"
   • Select "Code Injection" or "File Upload"
   • Choose the option to upload verification file
   • Upload your Google HTML verification file

3. Alternative Method: If you don't see the file upload option:

   • Go to Square Online Overview
   • Navigate to "Settings" > "Advanced"
   • Look for "Custom Files" or "Verification"
   • Upload your file here

4. Verify Installation:

   • After uploading, check that the file is accessible at: yourdomain.com/google[verification-code].html
   • Use Google Search Console to verify
   • Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect

I'm following your directions and I get stuck at finding "Advanced" or "custom code".  Can't find that option anywhere.

Do you have a paid Square Online plan?

You should be able to add custom code by clicking the + sign next to "home" and then choose "embed code".
