Disable e-mail collection from contact form..
Sorry title is so long....
Is there a way to disable e-mail collection from those who contact me via my Weebly contact form?
These people (e-mails) are being added to my customer database and a lot of times its spam or someone asking a random question.
I'm paying $35/mo for marketing to hundreds of e-mail addresses of spammers and people who are not customers.
Would love to disable them being imported into my contact list. Is this possible?

Hello @GP82818 and thanks for your post. If you do not want email contact info, are you still wanting other info from a contact form...maybe name, phone etc?? If you have an email signup collection popup, I think the email is a required part. The other option would be to remove your email collection popup and instead use Online > Communications > Messenger which would connect Facebook Messenger to your site instead.

Hey Charlie. It’s not the sign up for newsletter email collection, it’s the “contact us” form that they’re being collected from.
I would still like to collect emails from those who subscribe. I would not like to collect emails from those who contact us via the “contact us” form.

Great news!
There is a way to remove the email collection from your contact form.
Here are the steps.
- Login to Square.Online
- Click on "Edit Site"
- Click the drop down tab labeled "Page:Home:
- Select the page that the contact form is on.
- On the left hand panel click "Contact Us"
- Under "questions", if you hover over e-mail address, you'll see a trash can.
- Click on it to remove the email address collection.

Hey Ria - I need the e-mail section of the contact form since some contact us e-mails we receive are legit and I have to respond.
I just want to prevent them from being collected into my customer database since some are spam.

Ahhhh - Got it @GP82818.
I know how frustrating spam can be. Due to the fact that both of those functions are connected, at this time, there is no way to stop them from being synced into the customer database.
I'll be happy to mention this as a feature request to our engineers.
