CREATE NEW ITEMS IN WEEBLY STORE NOT WORKING

I am unable to create new items in my Weebly Store. When I click on CREATE NEW ITEM it just spins and hangs. Sometimes it allows me to enter data about the item but then hangs when I click on SAVE. Has anyone else had a similar problem and is there a workaround?

Hi @cjgphotos 👋

Sorry to hear you are having some trouble with this! Can you please let us know the URL for your website? Can you also please confirm the browser you are using, and also let us know if you can test out a different browser in private or incognito mode?

Thanks in advance! 😊

Good morning Bernadette,

Thank you for your reply. I'm a professional photographer and my company's website is: https://keystonephoto.net

Running Google Chrome and DuckDuckGo web browsers. In Chrome, tried clearing browser history/cache and also opening new incognito session, in addition to restarting my computer, but nothing works.

My web hosting provider is JustHost.com which offers Weebly access as an Add-On in their marketplace. I purchased Weebly Business from their marketplace. They officially support only WordPress but I chose to create my business website using Weebly because it is much more user-friendly and I'm still trying to learn WordPress.

I was informed by someone that JustHost is a sister company with BlueHost, which apparently maintains their cloud that JustHost users are seamlessly connected to. The hangups I'm currently experiencing started occurring about a week ago when updating (adding/deleting) digital download products in my website's online store. From my perspective, it appears to be a synchronization or authentication issue on the server side in the BlueHost cloud but no way for me to confirm this as an end-user. Their support team is reportedly looking into it as we speak. As a former server administrator, I believe this to be part of a server-side issue on their end, which may have to do with either number of client connections (networking) or database transactions being processed/synchronized, or both, but cannot confirm this.

In any case, it is negatively impacting my business and customers which is something I cannot afford. In online business, your web hosting platform must first and foremost be reliable because your livelihood depends upon it. I've read posts by many others who share how downtime has affected their businesses.

Sincerely,

Chris

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, @cjgphotos

Unfortunately, we do not have access to third party accounts. Since the editor, and site are also hosted through a third party, we are unable to provide any troubleshooting for you. You will need to work with your host directly to resolve the issue.

Apologies that I cannot assist further, and I wish you the best!
