find customers email / number on transaction? link with zapier
okay so im setting up a zapier to follow up with new transactions..
it isnt finding the customers email or number? that they entered when paying
how is this resolved?

Hi @steomullen! Is Zapier partnered with Square? Are you trying to save customer info to your Customer Directory?

So im setting up a zap to pull customers info when trigger new transaction happens to send customers email to my crm on another platfrom its a simple automation process.. but for some reason zapier isnt seeing the customer phone number or email on a new transaction profile from square... is there a setting in square to be changed so it save the customers info or something?

Hey @steomullen,
Stepping in for @JustinC here. We don't ever store customer's personal information on our end due to it being privileged to their bank.
You'd need to manually save the customer's phone number/email/etc in your Directory on Square in order for those things to show on reporting or other third party apps like Zapier.

Hi,
I have the same issue,
I would like a client's details to be updated and added to the correct mailing list when they purchase a product.
Zapier can see email addresses when a new client is created and can communicate this across but it is unable to do so when the client purchases something.
However I can create a group in Square customer directory which is filtered by the specific product which they have purchased.
If the info is clearly in square, why am I unable to utilise that information?
I understand that square has its own email marketing system but this is limited and does not suit our communication requirements which is why we wish to use another CRM for this purpose.
