Unit cost

As I enter new items into my item library, i add unit cost. However when I go to history for COGS reports, all the items say missing unit cost ( which is untrue as i add them in as i add inventory) & yes tracking is on. Help! When I click on one in history it does show default cost in the corner faded. Why is it not auto populating ?

I just checked my COGS report and it is not blank, but I do have a bunch of items with no costs as they came with the business.  The big thing to remember is this is for Cost Of Goods Sold, so the items need to have 2 factors 1 being the Cost of the item when you created the item before selling, and 2 the item needs to have at least 1 unit sold to appear on your COGS report.  If I do a COGS for say today I might have needs a unit cost, but if I run the report for the month I have data in the report.  For me I mainly use my Accounting software to report my COGS because when I started with Square they did not have this report.  My Square COGS report is just a Quick refrence for me.

Now if your still getting your reported error, Square may be working on something which just happened while you are running the report.  Square is always making Updates trying to add new features or make improvements.

Type a product name
