Ability to print vouchers / voucher stubs i.e. free kids ice cream with kids meal
We have a couple of bistros in clubs and our kids menu items come with a free kids ice cream. We are trying to find a way to print a voucher to give to the customer that they can come back and redeem. The only way we can figure it might work is for our staff to add free kids ice cream item with zero cost to the order, and set up a print station to only print the free kids ice cream items from our POS printer.
Preferably, we don't want to rely on the staff to remember to add the free ice creams separately, but can't see another way to do it.
Is anyone else doing anything like this?

Hi there @coopz006,
This is an excellent question, and it's not something I've encountered in the Seller Community before!
The challenge here lies in the fact that the voucher can be used at a later date. If the free ice cream is intended to be redeemed as part of a meal purchase, my suggestion is to establish a 100% discount that can be applied specifically to the ice cream. Whether these discounts are applied during the initial purchase or at a later time, Square doesn't currently have an option to generate a discount in the form of a voucher.
As a workaround, you might manually achieve this by creating physical voucher tickets outside of Square. When a voucher is redeemed, you can apply a 100% discount with a label like "Free Ice Cream," for instance.
For reference, I've included the steps for creating discounts here.
If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to reach out to us!
