Connect Square Terminal to another Square Terminal

hello, 

 

is it possible to use two square terminals to one another?

 

ideally, use Terminal 1 for staff to input orders and print ticket orders for barista 

 

and use Terminal 2 for guest payment / guest receipts.

While it’s not possible to connect two Square Terminals directly to one another, you can set up a workflow to achieve what you’re looking for by leveraging Square’s ecosystem.

 

To better assist you, could you clarify:

 

  1. Are you looking for staff and customers to have separate devices?
  2. Will staff still be checking customers out, or do you want customers to check out by themselves?

Hey there @CalacaCoffee.  You don’t need to connect devices together.  Square has an open tickets/open checks function add on that you can enable.  One you do this, a team member can take orders and save them.  Then any team member can retrieve the transaction for changes and/or payments.
