Square Team App - Team Updates

When I add or remove someone from our staff the shared Square Team thread says ".. was removed from the conversation" and ".. was added to the conversation". This is an unnecessary message for the whole team to see, especially if someone was let go recently. Can this be removed from the Square Team app threads?

I'm upvoting this, BUT..... Square product team, if you decide to implement this suggestion, PLEASE make it an account setting and DO NOT force the change on everyone.  I know in my case, I want my team to be aware of changes like this, especially changes that will affect the flow of group thread conversations.  It might not be necessary for @Eggmanatx but it is entirely necessary for me.  It's a good idea, as long as we all aren't forced to do things this way.  My employees don't need to know the reasons for terminations, but they need to be very aware of all terminations.

Was my post helpful? Take a moment to mark it as a solution. Marked solutions help other sellers find possible resolutions to similar problems. Also, if you find your solution elsewhere (say, through Support), it is helpful to come back to your post and tell us about it, then mark that as a Solution. Solutions are what this Community is all about!

Yes, I like the setting idea. Maybe my gripe is only when we deactivate team members and not when we onboard. Seems unnecessary to tell the whole team "this person is removed".

I see @Eggmanatx and @TheRealChipA at it again! This is a good one, and Chip is right that an account setting would be best. Looking forward to hearing other business owners chime in with their thoughts on this feature request before we have any concrete news to share from our Product team. Thank you both for posting!

To echo what @kristen said, this really is a great idea and I definitely can see how it would be a helpful addition, @Eggmanatx and @TheRealChipA!

In the meantime though, if I hear anything else about this on my side, I will post back here promptly!

@kristen any updates here? Seems like a pretty quick fix for Engineering to do.

@kristen thoughts here? It tends to cause unnecessary confusion and contention with the team
