Hey y'all - I haven't given my team permission to turn tipping on and off - we simply leave it on and bypass it for the transactions where typing isn't necessary. A few times recently tipping has been turned off at the Appointments module access at the register inside of the Device Management settings - but the front desk permissions don't allow staff to do that - any ideas on how this is happening? Seems to happen between transactions?

Hi all! 👋
This issue was escalated and our team did find a ticket that would explain what happened.
On a previous update, there was a bug that caused tipping to be turned off by taking Invoice payments, but a fix has been released as part of our latest update.
If you do not take payments for Invoices or your Register is fully updated, I would recommend reaching out to our support team for assistance with this.

there are multiple posts I have commented on in the last month that are complying about the same thing of timing getting turned off when no one else has access to that setting.

1 report maybe a fluke but now 3 that I have noticed might point to an issue to look into @isabelle

Thanks for the other references @VanKalkerFarms I can confirm that last time was after an update - this time I am not sure - time before that I thought they had logged in as me and done it accidentally while uploading new item photos but now am questioning that as well. This one happened between last night at 9pm and this afternoon if that helps @isabelle - we don't use tipping except on our classes so other transactions for small things weren't noticed until someone wanted to tip this afternoon. I didn't check to see if there was an update during this time frame.

Hey there @VanKalkerFarms @MudFire_Dex , I appreciate you guys flagging this! It does look like this escalated and our team issued a fix ( 6.44). Can you confirm what app version your device is on? This is happening on Appointments and Point of Sale app?

Hi @MayaP it is on our Square Register - we captured this the day it happened last week. It has happened 3x total. We double checked our team permissions and no one but us as owners has permission to change that - but it is happening on the register and then because the permission isn't given to them they can't turn it back on - I don't really want them to have that permission enabled to prevent accidental changes to the tipping structure. It seems correlated to updates possibly? Each time it has worked normally the evening prior and someone is noticing on transactions the next day.
