Register drawer not opening after cash transaction

We are having issues with the register not opening, randomly not every transaction, when taking a cash transaction which seems to be also causing discrepancies when closing the drawer at the end of the shift. The transaction is showing as a completed transaction but it is not being accounted for in the ending drawer total. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to work around this?

Sorry to hear that your Cash Drawer is giving you a hard time. I would suggest starting by troubleshooting your Square Register

 

If after troubleshooting your problem persists I would then reach out to our Support Team, so they can take a closer look and point you in the right direction.

We are having the same issue. I have closed and restarted the app. Unplugged all the devices and re-plugged them in. But  my printer says disconnected. I can't even open the drawer without a sale, only with the key, but it is not recording a cash payment. I turned the printer off and on in the hardware section of the app, to no avail.

Sorry it does not say disconnected, it says disabled.

Just as frustrating!
