New update info?

Night before last there was an update that changed my entire interface to boxes. I was able to reverse it by going back to the old way.  It would be really professional if square would send out emails prior to updated that change how we function!!! Instead, I get panicked phone calls from my workers.  I guess my question is - is there a way to find out what is in updates before they get installed? Also, how do I get rid of this darn verify thing every time I try to log in???? Ty!

Thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to the Community.

I know it's not of much comfort at the moment since you've obviously dealt with the situation already, but there is a larger conversation happening around updates, their timing, the communication of them, etc.

It really helps Square know what the frustrations and pain points that sellers are currently experiencing. It also helps other sellers know that they aren't alone and it's not just their system acting up!

Please keep posting! Improvement can only happen if we are consistently telling Square what we'd like to see.

I can't speak to turning off 2-factor authentication. As frustrating as it is, it really is the most secure way to go forward.

One issue w the authentication is that we have more than one manager who logs in remotely. The verification code always goes to me. So I have to then text it to them. Kinda stupid.

Ooof. Definitely heard on that being frustrating, @Ntango.

I'll mention this issue and see if there is a workaround (like setting up a group email or a set of numbers to authenticate with).
