Please streamline in-store discounts
Adding discounts to items takes too many clicks!
I have a lot of in-store discounts, and I have to add each item at regular price, then go back into the cart, find the item(s) individually, tap it, scroll down to discounts, tap, scroll down through my many discount categories, tap, save, which returns me to cart where I have to save again, or lose all the actions I just took! (I made that a run-on sentence on purpose. It's like the process.)
Please make an option for choosing a discount on the same screen as where the item is added.

Hi @SewFunQuilting I think that you have actually found a BUG with Virtual Terminal. I'm going to tag the moderators here to alert them to this so they can check with the engineers. Here's why I say it looks like a big.
Square already has a setting in our item catalogs called "skip item details screen." It is on by default, but if we toggle it off, then items should NOT be automatically added to carts but the item details screen (which includes discounts) should be displayed. This is how it works in ALL of the Square POS apps, so it stands to reason that it should work that way in Virtual Terminal, which is just another Square POS app, after all.

Please see above regarding this feature request. As I described this should ALREADY be a feature of Virtual Terminal, but it looks like there is a bug that causes VT to work differently than the other POS apps. Can the engineering team confirm that it is, indeed, a but that needs to be fixed?
Otherwise @SewFunQuilting, as I said the Square POS apps (like Square Retail) already do what you want. While you are waiting for a bug fix -- which is usually never quick! -- is there any chance you can use it instead of Virtual Terminal? If you can, then I would need to give you the steps to bulk-change that setting I mentioned. But, if you can't use another Square POS app other than Virtual Terminal, there's no need for me to confuse things here. In that case, all you can do is wait for the fix.
