I have a square that i use to use when i did nail. I would now like to use it to sell my art? What?

Can i use a square that was originally set up when i did nails to now when im trying to sell my art?  Do I need to have it reclassified?

Welcome back to Square as I see this is your first post with this account.

Couple of things the Square Reader may work if it has not been damaged since its last use.  Now can you just open up a new app and start using it no.  You either need to sign in to your Nails account, or create a new account for your art, unless your nail account was under your name and not a business name.  The bigger issue is does Square have a Current account setup for you?   You may need to contact them to see what account you have setup and your user name and password to accept payments and get the money to your account and not just be held by Square.  

So like since I currently have a Square account and if your chip reader works, if you handed it to me and I connected it to my Square Stand it would work fine for me to get payments in my Square Account.  The reader may need some updates before working depending how old it is and when it got its last update.

Can you still access your old Square account?  If yes, give Square a call to see about how you need it setup for a different type of business, or if there are forms you need to send in.  This is all dependent on how the old business and new business is setup.  Square support number is below.
