How do you add the tip screen before payment?

Hi @NolaSnow. There is no way, currently, to change when the tip screen pops up. It happens after the card has been processed for the sales transaction. The only workaround for this is to disable Square tipping, and add a new custom-amount item to your library called “tip” that you can add to your cart before payment. Then you’d have to ask the customer the amount they want to tip and key that in. Then, when the customer pays, the tip would be there already.
Of course that solution has a drawback if you use Square Payroll and import tips. You’ll no longer be able to do that and will, instead, have to key each tipped employee’s tip amount into your payroll manually each week.
