Sync Inventory Across Multiple Locations

We are in desperate need to be able to sync inventory across multiple locations and have been unable to find a useable workaround after searching the seller community.

 

Our farm sells online and at several farmers markets. We have lots of customers who pre order for pickup at the different farmers markets which all comes from the same inventory pool. We need a way to sync inventory between our pickup locations and online store (which is in a different location).


Sadly, this request has been made by Square customers dating back as early as 2017 with no solution. I can't imagine it being much more than programming a toggle for syncing inventory across locations. Like others have stated, we are looking into alternative ecommerce options like barn2door who offer easy inventory management for this particular problem. After six years of Square customer requests, its disappointing to not see any action.

While we currently offer various features to help manage inventory, we understand that the specific requirement of syncing inventory across multiple locations remains a crucial aspect for your farm.

Does ANYONE know of a decent workaround aside from moving to another service provider completely? One would assume that the scripts necessary to automatically split inventory on a per location basis would be a lot more complicated than just leaving it as is…

I need a solutions for this as well. Have an online store and multiple locations. All inventory is pulled from a single operations center location. Looking into SyncPenguin. Will keep this thread updated if it works for me.

FYI we just switched from B2D to Square.  While B2D may be able to handle this problem for you, we found it inferior/lacking in many other crucial aspects compared to Square.  (I found this thread searching for how to manage multiple prices for same products of our farm business, so we are trying to solve many of the same problems as you.)

While I can easily sync catalogs across locations, I cannot seem to sync stock (typically understood as inventory on hand and ready for sale to a customer.) I also cannot find any information on where to locate or utilize a sync stock feature under the basic plan as advertised.

In my search for this feature, I have found 151 requests for this feature on your previous feature request system (https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Read-only-archive-Square-Point/Feature-Request-Sync-inventory-acr...) plus the 6 requests here. 

If the feature to sync stock does exist please help us understand how to use it. If it is only a sync catalog feature, I would like to recommend rewording this feature from "stock" to "catalog" in the plan comparison to ensure truth in advertising.
