Why are my items from my Online Store not synching to my Square dashboard/POS?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: ONLINE STORE NOT SYNCHING TO POS]

 

1 month and still not working. Online store is not synching to pos items. There are items not pulling over at all and show visible, incorrect qualities not pulling over, and engineering dept has never responded. Countless hours, emails, phone calls, text, explaining over and over again.

 

How can anyone run a business by Square and how can you run a business this way?

 

Anyone had this issue?

Two things I can think of that might affect your items not showing up.

1. Is your Location set?

2. do you have the items assigned to a category?

Both are located in your Edit page of the items, right below where you add your item photo.

YES! This is an ongoing grip of mine and support is not helpful. Thinking of moving on from square. I can not run my business like this. Please post if you have received any solutions to this. Thanks!

Has anyone found a solution to this?  Mine started this around November 2024 and is still messed up, I have spent hours and hours on the phone with square and so far nothing.

My solution was to, unfortunately, use another provider for online services. Since I have left my website syncs instantly with my Square in-store inventory which is confusing because it’s a whole other company.

I went to Shopify. You will have to get an add on app that will sync your inventory, but it is pretty easy and the support is very good especially with a lot of the apps that you can use there. Also, if you have Doordash with your Square POS, you won't be able to use it with your new website. I still love Square, I have quite a few services but if online is not working properly, you lose lots of money. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me 🙂

Thank You so much for all the information.  Shopify is what I had looked into.  What app do you need to sync the inventory?  I am not good with all the apps and all.  I also love Square.  I have the register, loyalty cards and all so its hard to just totally switch.

I felt the same way. That is why it took me so long to do the switch. I kept hoping that things would change. The app I use is called QuickSync. Just do the Shopify trial and the quicksync trial to make sure that it is working and then you should be fine. When you are in the app, there is a chat box in the corner to assist with any technical questions that you may have. Also if you have trouble setting up your store use youtube for reference.

No, I still have Square retail, loyalty and my doordash is connected to my square register. My website is separate. Orders are notified via email and because of the app I have on shopify, it does sync my inventory so that there are no discrepancies. It may be a tad more work as far as accounting and staying on top of online notifications. I am going crazy less because the customers have a better experience knowing what they order is there and they can see all of the new items we get in. Oh and the loyalty program is not connected but I only have a few customers that shop online AND in the store.

Please know that we still love Square but as business owners, spending hours on the phone troubleshooting is not a valuable use of our time, especially, if at the end, we are told that it will be escalated or things are worse. I have been told both answers and nothing has come of it. I am hoping that this community is a valuable resource for Square utilize our feedback to improve service because in the end, that's all we want.

Type a product name
