Test items won't delete from website

I added a couple test items to my website, but I deleted those items and they still show on the website. I unpublished and republished, looked ALL over the site items and square items and the test items are no where to be found. Even in the site editor it shows my one item, but my actual website still shows two test items and the one real item on my website. I used to be a website developer, so yes I cleared my cache, forced a reload and even tried two other browsers and the test items still show up on my website even though they aren't in my items list in square or the website editor.

Both the test items are nowhere in my site items or square items. And when you click on them they just go to a 404.

I see that. Ugh. As unsatisfactory as this will sound, one of two things seems to be happening. 

  • there is a delay on Square’s side in updating your item list. FYI this is independent of publishing your site, so it is possible, though a delay of more than 5-10 minutes would seem excessive to me!
  •  you have an internal account issue. 

    Your are going to need to contact a human being at Support. That could be as late as Monday but hopefully not. Here is the contact page.

 Someone there can either resolve it or escalate it. I wish you well. I’m sorry I can’t be more help now.

There was a sync problem yesterday that is supposedly fixed. See the screens shot below. I’m wondering if it is still lurking out there, now. I reported this to the moderators on duty. 🤞

Sorry for the delay here, @PuttersGolfCart I was out of office, but I do see the issue was marked as resolved recently, and I no longer see the deleted items on your website.

I think you may be correct, @TheRealChipA, that there may be some delays with updating due to the bug yesterday. The advanced support team is working with the engineers to resolve this.

 

In the meantime, @PuttersGolfCart, I have re-indexed your website, and I'm hoping this will clear it up sometime tonight. If not, we'll follow up with you at the beginning of the upcoming week after we have checked in with the engineers.

 

Teams are limited on the weekend, but I'll let you know if I hear of anything tomorrow!

Thank you! Test items are still there but we aren't up and running as a business yet so it's not a big deal for a couple more weeks.
