Lots of Problems with the New "Orders" Interface

1.  Some or all of my customers are not getting their tracking info when we ship their orders.

 

2.  The search function for orders kind of sucks.  On the old "Square Online" I can find someone's order using the first four digits of their order #, or their first name, or the item they ordered.  It's pretty easy.  The search function in the new "Orders" page will ONLY find their order if I input their entire 10 digit order number.  Names do not seem to work, and items don't work.  This is not an upgrade.

 

3.  When you do go to find shipped orders it always shows none until you manually select the "Locations" "All" check box.  I only have a single location so this is...dumb.  

 

4.  Maybe this is more of a feature request but there is still no simple text box in the order page so team members can leave internal notes about status or requested changes.  People have been asking for something like this for years, and it's just a simple text input box not a Fusion Reactor.  Pretty disappointed that there is still nothing there.

 

There is more info in one place and it looks a little nicer but most of this change feels like a downgrade, since it doesn't work properly yet.  Feels very beta.  Sometimes the only way I can find an order is by going into the old Square Online interface.  I guess after the 26th I just won't be able to find some of my orders?  Great stuff.

I have been requesting order notes FOREVER.. PLEASE SQUARE GODS HEAR OUR PLEA!

I don't know what the hold up is!! 

We need to print all orders and any changes/requests are written on the paper..

 

This causes so many issues! 

 

I agree old order screen is so much more robust. We have such a hard time with the new order and use the old one as well!

It's been a feature request for years.  I'm getting so fed up with Square.  They never update anything in a meaningful way.  They roll out new paid features, but never actually update existing features to work better.  All feature requests just get ignored. 

 

I've been interviewed twice by Square on the phone to see why I always give them poor marks in their surveys...nothing changes.
