How can I add captions (such as a name or number) to photos in an image gallery section?

I uploaded some images of my past creations to an image gallery section of a page. How can I add captions or descriptions to the individual photos?

Thanks for taking the time to reach out, and welcome to the Seller Community 👋 

Here's how to add a caption to the images in your Gallery:

1. Head to your website editor in your Square Online Dashboard and click on the Gallery element on your site.

2. Click on an image you've uploaded to the gallery.  

3. Tick Caption on the panel to the right, and you'll be able to add your caption here.

Related question- is there a way to center the caption under the image? Right now the caption is justified to left of the text box, which doesn't always align well when the scroll option is left and right. I've tried adding some leading spaces but Square ignores them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is this the area you are trying to add captions, @reneedavis?

If so, the text will be justified to the left of the text box if you are using this specific layout 👆 

You can select any of the other layouts to see an Alignment setting (and in most cases also a Columns setting):

Yes, the left to right scrolling gallery layout is the one I was questioning, as you suspected. Thanks for confirming that there is not a center-alignment option for captions on that particular layout. I appreciate your help and clear illustration!
