I am having issues with trying to figure out how to add a place on my site where the customer can choose to order a fully customized painting.... As in they can choose the type of the canvas , the color of the canvas and even the size and then they can book a free consultation appointment with me so that we can discuss their design for free of charge....
I just am unsure on how to do this and I cant seem to find any resources on that specific type of thing so I'm just stuck...

I typed a long reply and it was erased when I had to sign in 😭 so here’s a quick response… You can do all these things through variations, modifiers (either adding a cost or not adjusting the cost), and/or option sets. I use them with all my online art sales. If you need more explanation I’m happy to elaborate!
Then, I believe there is an option to collect additional info in a text box from the customer but I don’t use it. And the appointments feature, but also something I don’t use.

Is your page live where you could link what you’re describing? If you don’t need to track black vs white inventory, then I wouldn’t include black/white in the option sets. Instead, use an unpriced modifier called “background color” and the customer can choose between black and white. Otherwise your number of variations will get out of hand.
Is there a price difference in stretched vs panel?
Do you offer standard sizes for either stretched or panel, but need only some of those size options for one of them?
Ideally you have a drop down menu for sizes and canvas type (created by making an option set called “canvas sizes”) which sets the price. Once the customer selects the size/type, they are required to select “background color” from radio buttons.

Ok I had another question when I create the option sets I created one for the different sizes of the canvas like as in the sizes for Black Stretched canvas and then white stretched canvas and then one for the black and white canvas panels but it created variations on its own for the black and white canvas panels but there was 250 variations and the only sizes I have available for the black and white canvas panels is 5x7 to 18x24. why is it doing that and how do I stop it from doing that or how do I fix it

ok when I created the option sets of type of canvas and size I was ok then it created the variables for the sizes of the canvas and then I created the modifier for the back ground color for the paintings but it keeps telling me that variable priced items cannot be sold online I have to have one variable with a fixed price so I don't know what's going on or how to fix it

I am pretty sure I got it worked out. The only issue I'm still having is trying to figure out how to get my option of adding either glitter paint or glow in the dark paint to the custom paintings option when you order one. I have 5 colors of the glitter paint and 5 colors of the glow in the dark paint and then I was going to give the option to have both of the glitter paint and glow in the dark paint for a set price for both. I have a set price for adding on glitter paint and a set price for adding on the glow in the dark paint. My site link is https://fafo-kustom-designs-103707.square.site
