Customer file upload and attachments

We own a bakery, it would be really helpful if customers could submit pictures of their idea when purchasing online. Other online platforms have had this feature for years. Right now I use Jotform and process my sales with them because they have it available.

👋 Hi @TomD, @SlateCreek, and fellow posters in this discussion thread. I wanted to follow up here and acknowledge the frustration around this request. I sincerely apologize for the lack of responsiveness on our side, I understand how frustrating it must be to provide feedback and not hear back. 

I'm glad @maxpete reached out to me so I could go directly to the product folks involved and get an answer for you all. I spoke to the team and can confirm this feature is not currently planned. While this is not the answer you hoped for, I am glad that we were able to raise the idea to the right people and get a definitive answer for now. In the future if we have any news around this feature coming to life, you would find out about it by subscribing to our Product Updates Blog.

Yes this is something I need as well! I sell custom embroidery items. I would love to stay on square but might have to switch due to this not being available.

The "File Upload" (files, images, etc.) is available in Square App Marketplace. App name "Form Builder" by  POWR.

You can create your own form with the element "Image Upload" and integrate it into your Square Online Website. This feature incurs a monthly charge around $8. Look into it.

I do custom orders and lots of items where I add a customer photo, so this would be great if added. It would need to be on the item page itself though with the add to cart after uploading. I don't think the add on app mentioned earlier will do this.

Just here to add my vote on customer uploads for personalized and customized items. I've been considering switching because of this missing piece. Please add this as a feature,  thanks!
