Feature Request - Export library with custom attribute

I want to be able to see a custom attribute on the exported library, however; that capability does not appear to be available. Does anyone know if it can be done and/or how to do it?

We currently don't have any new information to share. However, if there are any updates in the future, we’ll make sure to inform everyone here.

In the meantime, I recommend checking out the feature Laurie mentioned earlier in this thread. This feature allows you to bulk-edit your custom attributes, which may help you manage them more efficiently.

Hey @AAFM,

Customer attributes are unfortunately one of a number of things that can't be exported via spreadsheet - others include things like modifiers sets and images.

I'm putting this down as a feature request and we'll continue to track it here. I'm not sure if this is something that's in the pipeline, but if I hear of any updates I'll post here.

I have a Square POS account and I need to export all fields from my item library - including the Custom Attributes fields.  The standard export fields do not include all fields and do not provide an option to select which fields to export.

In the meantime, we've recently introduced a feature to allow you to bulk-edit your custom attributes to help you better manage your items.

This is crazy, I see this request is 2 years old, wish I had known before I spent hours entering data into custom fields that I have no way of getting out.  I need a full reporting of my items, including custom fields, in hard copy.  This system is a database there is absolutely no reason why you cannot just allow us to export ALL fields.  Please provide an update, is this even on the roadmap?

Im right there with you @StudioBCollecti , We had our employees spend a few days manually inputting data so we could filter by a certain tag. A simple way to export the 3 extra columns would allow me to verify everything is correct in a matter of seconds.  Now, we need to click every single item, to make sure no tags are missing. Cant believe how old this request is and still not resolved

Yes, can the Square product team please prioritize this feature request? It will save hours of manual work.

I am adding to this thread as this is a big sticking point for us. We have to manually mail merge labels and have multiple spreadsheets because we can't export the custom attributes that we need to display on the labels. Please let us know when this feature is complete, it will save us hours a week!

We are also adding our request to this, and using Square for all of these details is paramount! We mistakenly used Option Names for data that should be attributes, and now they're showing up on all our receipts! Manually going into over 1,000 items by hand because we can't import or export this data is crazy after all these years!!
