Customer Email Collection

Dear Community,

I have a new store and there is not really any emails collected from subscription and or contact form. However, I realised there are emails in almost every order details. Is there a quick way I can extract these emails out and turn them into customer profiles so next time, I can use the Square Email tool to communicate?

Thanks!

Hey @wangjueliang,

At the moment there's no way to do this with emails collected for the purposes of ordering - there are actually regulations that surround the use of emails being collected for one purposes then used to send marketing, so I'd recommend not doing this.

If you did want to collect customer info for marketing purposes you can build a pop-up - doing it this way ensure you have permission from the customer to do so! Do this from the Online dashboard via Website > Pop ups:

Does anyone know where to access the emails that are collected in the pop up email collection tab on the website?

Hey @Littlebeaks,

Welcome to the Community!

With Square Online, you can view the emails collected by going to your Square Online Overview page and the Website drop-down menu > Form Submissions.

Let me know if this works!

Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately there are 0 subscribers in the list. Which is very strange because I've had dozens of entries on the website. (I get an email notification)  It's really frustrating because I want to send them a newsletter and I cant seem to manually even find the contacts 😞

I bought the upgrade and send all my emails through the integrated email marketing option within Square. It’s great because you can easily select “customers who opted in” when you send your email.

Have you gone into the page where you created the pop up? There should be an indication there as to how many people have subscribed. This will confirm “0” or otherwise. If you click on the number of subscriptions it provides a list. I don’t know if you can export it (I’m guessing you’re using a third party communication tool like Mail Chimp) but it will at least confirm if people are subscribing 😊
