Can Invoices be reopened for failed payment?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Bounced cheques - can we re-open an invoice?"

There's an old thread about this question, but I have a similar situation and wanted to make a suggestion.

 

Could Square add a feature to re-open an invoice due to a failed payment?

 

That might apply if someone cancelled their credit card, and of course if they wrote a cheque that bounced, among other possible situations of revoked payment.

The Invoices Team let me know that unfortunately, due to the way our system is built, we can't re-open an Invoices due to technical limitations. This is still a feature request at this time. They've recommended duplicating and recreating the Invoice as a workaround.

I'm sorry there isn't a better answer to provide ๐Ÿ˜ž but I hope this information is helpful, nonetheless. You can keep an eye out for new features for Square Invoices on our Product Updates board here in the Square Community.

I've escalated your feedback to the Invoices Team. I'll be sure to follow up with the info they're able to provide me. I appreciate your patience until then.
