I have been trying to contact square via chat about this screen and it seems like they can't seem to understand what I'm asking.
After a new customer checkout using Square Appointments and the Square Stand a screen appears asking if they want to Opt-In to receive text messages for a $5 coupon.
I want to get rid of this screen.
I have tried
- Checking active marketing campaigns. None are active.
- Going through checkout tab on the square stand. Nothing about this screen is available.
- Going through random places on square dashboard to see if I can find anything about this screen. Nothing that I can find. Except if I subscribe to Text Message Marketing with Square.
A note, I did try the trial before and maybe during this time there was an option to collect customer's numbers at checkout. If this is the case, I can no longer find this option to turn it off.
To get a better understanding of what I am talking about, use this link and scroll down to Getting Started and read answer for the question "How do I get customers to opt in to Text Message Marketing?" The issue I am having is with the POS Checkout.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You have to resubscribe to text marketing, then go to marketing, settings and scroll down and then under Text Message you'll see the box and a toggle switch to disable text opt in. I assume you found this, but in case anyone else comes looking for it!

Hello @MBL-Jacky thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this...check this link and see if this is some place new you haven't checked yet? Sometimes things are hidden in multiple places, I know I'm often looking around in many places for where I think it may be located.

I have another question about the $10 off to join text messages coupon. Is the only way to redeem that by adding the customer's name to the transaction and then redeeming it from there? 99% of the time this works but we had someone come in today that had the coupon (from us, dates valid) but the coupon was not showing in her customer profile. We checked prior transactions and it had not been used that we could locate. The text image has a coupon code of numbers but I am not sure where to input that to try and track the code. Or if she did not want to give us her name could we redeem the coupon with that code somehow? Or is the number code sequence only for purchases they might make online?
