The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: How can I remover shipping charges from my delivery orders an still charge shipping on other orders?
Hi there, can anyone help me on figuring out how to remove the shipping cost on orders for local delivery, while still charging shipping on shipping orders? I've tried to look at other threads and haven't found anyone with this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you deliver the orders yourself or third party? If you do self delivery or use your own couriers, it shouldn't be charging the customers. If you use couriers via Square, go to Fulfillment in the Square Dashboard
Edit: To add even if you have your own delivery service or do it yourself, you can set up a fee, or just make local delivery free.
Here you can set up your fulfillment and you can chose how and who pays the fees. The options are as follows:
- Customer pays the full delivery fee
- You pay the full delivery fee
- You pay a percentage of the fee, customer pays rest
- You pay a fixed portion, customer pays rest
- Customer pays a specific amount, you pay rest
If you want to pay it all choose the first option. Then when they choose local delivery it will give it to them without the fees. This will not affect shipping so when they choose shipping it will calculate it on it's own or by rates you set up.

Yes, I deliver myself. But it still charges customers shipping fees even if they choose delivery. And I still don't understand how to fix that.

Thank you for letting us know, @SinlessSoap. I checked with our eCommerce team and they were unable to find any orders from your site. Are these orders processed from your website, or are these sales from possibly in-store?
Our eCommerce team also said that if you have some order numbers, they can take a look at those as well. Feel free to send over an order number via DM to me, if you do not want to share that information on here. Let us know how we can help to get this resolved for you!

Ok first go to the dashboard link I posted above. First screen should look like this:
Now click the blue "Edit" link and then click "Delivery" on the side bar.
Should look like this now:
Make sure you click "My Own Couriers".
After that, scroll down the page. You should see "Delivery & service fees".
It should look like this:
Make sure the drop down says "Free delivery", and also make sure "Service fee" is in the off position or greyed out like in my screenshot. If it is blue it will have a box with an amount. Click the toggle and it will turn that off.
Now click the blue save button in the top right.
Once done you should be set.
Lastly, make sure when you create the item, down near the bottom of the page there is "Online fulfillment methods". Click edit and make sure you have "Local delivery" ticked.
Your site might be set up where it's trying to ship it to them and not local delivery. If you have local delivery activated it will say "Local delivery" as a choice on the items page.
Let me know if you need assistance, if you don't mind me remotely accessing your computer, I can link up with you and walk you through it. I have a computer shop, Perrone Technologies, LLC. You can google me if you'd like.
