Resource assigned (4) but can only book 1x during
I'm a premium membership holder and having an issue with resources. I have 4 "chairs" from 1-4 as resources. I've defined a 30 min service and included all services (1 of 4). However, when testing I cannot book no more than a single appointment for that time slot. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

I use Square Appointments as well, and I totally get how frustrating it can be when the system doesn’t seem to be working as expected! Based on what you're describing, it sounds like Square might not be recognizing your four chairs (resources) as separate bookable spots and is instead treating them as a single resource.
Here’s what to check:
Make Sure Resources Are Set as Bookable Individually
- Go to Square Dashboard → Appointments → Resources
- Double-check that each chair (1-4) is set up as an individual resource rather than all grouped as one.
- Each resource should be available for booking independently, meaning a 30-min service should allow 4 separate appointments in that time slot.
Ensure Services Are Assigned to Multiple Resources
- In Appointments → Services, open your 30-min service and check if it's assigned to ALL four chairs.
- If it’s only assigned to one “pooled” resource, Square might be blocking additional bookings.
Check Staff & Resource Conflicts
- If a service requires a staff member + a resource (chair), and your system is set to only book per staff member, that could be limiting the availability.
- Try switching to resource-based booking instead of staff-based (if applicable).
Test by Booking a Chair Manually
- Try booking a test appointment and selecting a specific chair manually to see if Square allows multiple bookings in the same time slot.
If none of this works, you may need to reach out to Square Support to check if there’s a setting limiting your appointments per time slot.
