Link invoices to scheduled appointment

Link invoices to scheduled appointment

Often, I have an invoice created  month or two before I schedule an appointment. This often requires deleting an invoice to add an appointment and create a new invoice. Would it be possible to link invoices to appointments rather than creating an invoice when an appointment is made?

We do not currently have an integration between Square Appointments and Invoices. However, Square Appointments does have a Contract feature.

 

Square Contracts gives you the ability to create and send contracts directly from your Square Dashboard. You can customize any of the twelve available contract templates to fit your unique business needs, allowing you to establish clear agreements with your clients or customers, obtain digital signatures, and avoid potential payment disputes.

 

Square Contracts are provided free of charge, and there is no limit to the number of contracts you can send. You can learn more in our Support Center about creating and sending contracts with Square.

For my business, there are no contracts needed or ever used. Invoices help me keep track of customers and the work I've done for them. This doesn't solve my problems with appointments. What would solve my problem is if appointments didn't require a dollar amount. Then, the link between the two wouldn't be necessary.

Thanks for adding that additional context, @jisherrer. I wasn't sure exactly what you were using the invoice for.  Since you are wanting to list an Appointments service or item at no cost, I suggest looking over the workaround I provided here for another Seller to see if that may be helpful for the setup you're wanting to achieve.

I second this. I send out price quotes first and get the approval. Once they're approved then I schedule the meetup. Once we meetup, I collect the payment through invoice. It would be nice if we could just schedule the appointment based off the invoice.

I have this issue also.
