Multiple people in one family making bookings under one contact

Hey all - newbie to square so please be kind...

 

So I'm trying to set up a music teachers booking system where my students can book/self-manage their own lessons. All has been going well until I get to the point where I have multiple students within the same family and I want to be able to see which student is at which time and have them be able to see this information too through the appointments "my bookings" login...

 

I could combine all students within a family as one "customer", but then I can't see easily which students lesson I'm looking at unless I go the appointment notes. Also, when the family logs in to view "My bookings", they can't see which student is at which time because they can't see the notes I've written.

 

I could keep all students as separate customers, but then they'll have the same phone number so when they log in to view "My bookings", the log in is done by phone number, so they can't see all students booked in lessons, only the one that was created first.

 

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to solve this so I can see which student's appointment is which easily and the customers can see all of the students lessons and which students lesson is at which time?

I just want to make sure I'm on the same page with you here before proceeding, have you currently created individual customer profiles for each student, or have you created a single profile for the family and used this to book your appointments?

 

You're correct in that customers are required to enter their phone numbers when accessing their customer accounts. However, this shouldn't impede your ability to view the individual student names in your Appointments calendar associated with the booking, in the event the same contact number has been used.

In terms of the customer experience, I'm actually not too sure what the expected behaviour is in this instance and this question is probably more suited to one of our Square Appointments specialists.
