I've entered incorrect bank account details, how can I stop the transfer of funds to that account?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Wrong Bank account details. 

Hi,

Ive just realised that I’ve added the wrong bank account details to my account and money has already been transferred. How do I stop it from entering the wrong bank account?

Lawnbrook is correct - if the bank account details were entered incorrectly, the transfer will likely fail, and the funds should return to your Square balance.

I'd recommend contacting our Support Team as soon as possible on 1800 760 137 so they can investigate the transfer further.
The team is available Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, Melbourne Time.

Here's a few steps you can take in the meantime:

Check your Square Balance

  1. Sign in to your online Square Dashboard and navigate to Money > Balance.
  2. If your funds are still shown in the available balance section, the transfer was unsuccessful.



Update your Bank Account details

  1. Navigate to Settings > Account & Settings > Money > Bank Accounts.
  2. Click Add external bank account.  
    • Please note, the bank verification process can take up to 5 business days.

HI @heyclayplay , was it a wrong bank account, or just a typo. If it's a typo, I think the chances of it working are slim. It will more than likely bounce back. I would however get straight on to square support in the moring.
