Can I receive a notification or alert when a client cancels their appointment?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: When a client cancels an appointmet can I get an alert?

Hey all, I have been trying to figure out how to get a notificiation (email) when a customer cancels an appointment. Right now the booking just dissapears, and we are not notified. Is there a way we can recieve an email when a client cancels an appointment. We are a service business, so it is important we can know so we can contact the client directly and rebook them / ask what the issue was.

Thank you for your help!

Hey @Aliveco! Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community! 😊

To receive notifications when a customer cancels an appointment, you'll need to adjust your notification settings in your online Square Dashboard. Here's how:

From the Online Square Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Payments > Appointments > Team Members.
  2. Click on a team member’s name to open their profile panel on the right.
  3. At the top of the panel, click on Appointments.
  4. Under Booking Notifications, check the box for Emails.
  5. Toggle on Email notifications to a separate address than login email and add an additional email address if required.
  6. Toggle on Notify owner of appointment activity.
  7. Apply these settings for each team member.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
