Remove Fields From the Square Register Customer Display When Adding a New Customer

As the title says, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to remove unwanted fields from the customer display of the square register when adding a new customer.

From inside the Square Dashboard, I've gone to Customers > Settings > Configure Profiles and set it as shown below

If I add a customer at checkout through both the Square App on my Android phone or through the Square Register (cashier side of things) these settings seem to be respected and data entry doesn't include the disabled fields.

However, asking the customer to enter their own details via the customer display which would be our prefferred method, still includes "Place of Work" and "Birthday" fields despite these being turned off in the settings.

Is there anywhere else I should be looking to disable these fields, or is this not possible? If it isn't then this should probably be added as a feature request or a possible developer oversight.

Hey @theforgottenimp - thanks for flagging this and for the screenshots.

I'll need to test this out myself.

Is it just "Place of Work" and "Birthday" specifically that are appearing or are/would other unwanted fields also there?

I'll be able to follow up with you on this tomorrow.

Hi @Breffni

So, I've done a little further testing on this. It seems like those settings don't have any impact on what is displayed on either the Square Register to the cashier or on the customer display. They only seem to take effect when adding a customer through the backend interface

That still means though that different fields are being displayed between the Register and the customer display though.

So, two improvement suggestions then present themselves. Firstly, standardise the fields present between the Register and the customer display, and secondly, have the fields selected in the back end settings also reflected on the Register and display.

As it stands currently though, its not exactly intuitive what is happening from a user perspective.
