Bye Bye square after 1.5 years
In case people wondered, I had an account on this form OSD3 which I no longer have access to. In fact, like some others, I was simply shafted on January 6.
It was all because they kept asking me to reverify my identity through the veriff app and their support team on phone and through chat were NOT helpful at all. I do not have the technology to scan a live face of me. I was willing to send pictures and even sent photo ID and that didn't work.
So January 6 came and they permanently deactivated my ability to transfer any money out of my account to my bank with a notice in the corner that I need to reverify my account.
I'm sick of the reverification nonsense, so I refunded all customers that qualified for a refund and closed my account.
I'm not the only person that experienced a deactivation and may not be the last.
I am looking for a new payment processor with more competent management and will not be working with square anymore.
I will not be replying to any comments.
Good bye community and I hope other merchants out there don't suffer like I am right now.

I’m sorry to hear that these technological limitations have prevented you from re-verifying your account, @osd4.
We understand that not everyone needs, or wants the latest tech and gadgets in their life. However the processes we currently have in place are industry standard, and are employed in the interests of maintaining a secure processing environment for both our Sellers and their customers.
I hope you’ll understand that Square also has contractual obligations to both the card networks and regulators, when it comes to KYC (Know Your Customer) practices. Unfortunately these can’t be side stepped.
Thank you for your business till now, and for sharing this feedback, which I’ll be sure to pass along.
