Beta Team, back again! 🤣
With this alpha feature, you'll be able to create schedules for your employees directly in Square Dashboard. A true one stop shop for employee management (and an often requested feature)!
So, if you have team members logging/clocking into your POS or Square Dashboard, and would like to hear more about this Alpha program, please reply to this thread and we'll reach out with the next steps. This alpha should be kicking off really soon, so be sure to get in on this before the rest of the world.

Just started using the scheduling feature today and am very impressed! It looks like the Square team has once again designed a clean user interface and simple way to schedule employees. It has the basics that you need for simple scheduling and some nice features like being able to compare scheduled shifts v.s. actual shifts. I can see this becoming the de facto way to schedule as features get fleshed out. Here are my observations/requests so far:
Color coded shifts are nice.
Shift templates are great. Maybe implement a way to check off which jobs each template applies to. Otherwise, I am creating several sets of identical templates for each job.
Sorting or dragging team members into a custom order would be helpful.
Wage estimates beside team member's weekly hours estimate, hour estimates for each day and totals for the week would help with labor budgeting.
Dragable shifts would speed up schedule changes.
Ability to print the schedule is essential and may be my #1 request. We have to have a hard copy posted for those that are technologically challenged. When I just print the web page shifts get cut off. I will try other browsers and see if they do better than Safari.
I'm sure most if not all of these features are in the works, so I will definitely continue to use the team management features and look forward to seeing what else the developers come up with to make our lives easier. Thanks Square!
