Hi from Australia,

How do I "undo" a "move"?

TIA,

Peter

Since changes are saved as you go, there really isn't a way right now to undo a change in the editor once you've made it. There's a post on our Vote on Features board that I'd recommend adding kudos to if you'd like us to implement a feature like that, though.

Note that this only applies to the Weebly drag and drop editor. The Square Online editor used for Square Online sites and some Weebly sites does have an undo option. You'll find the arrows for that at the top of the website editor.

Hi @rmgwoodcraft,

Can you tell me more about the move you're referring to? In general, there is not an "undo" feature in Weebly as far as actions taken in the site editor. And if you mean moving a site from a designer account into its own account, or out of one standard account into a new account under a different email address, I have to report that there is no reversing that either. But if you mean something else, please let me know. Smiley Happy

I'd also know how to undo a change you've made that you don't like. Such a simple thing to do surely?

Adam,

I'm sorry but this is my biggest complaint with Weebly and the community. This answer. As a product manager myself, I'm confused as to why you guy know the features your customers want and fail to make the changes. Instead of asking users to vote for features that you never actually make, why not just make the features. You have issues or requests with so many votes that you lot have failed to implement. It isn't that difficult, especially if SquareUp if footing the bill now.

I am entering a gallery and delete a section mistakenly. If I can't undo this move I have to start all over again.

Unfortunately, we don't have a way to restore a Section to a page. Sorry about that, @juliet. Smiley Sad

You must be very clever - why can't you do it? It's a common action.

Our builder works to save in real time and, unfortunately, we do not have a way to undo or revert back to a previous version of the site. We're really sorry for the inconvenience.

I accidentally added a text box - how do I delete that box?

Hi @KatieP908 If you hover over the element, you should see a delete ("x") option in the top right corner. What site name and page title did you add the text box to?

I'm curious how sites like Google Docs can save in real time but still "undo" an action. Its pretty important if you make a mistake!

This is an infuriating feature that weebly does not provide. My computer is a bit laggy and sometimes grabs the wrong thing, leaving me with no option but to delete and start over. I would not recommend weebly because of this lack of functionality.

Agreed! The fact that there is no "undo" feature is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING.  I will be using WIX or Squarespace because of this.

I can't believe this platform has existed this long without an "undo" button.  Amazing.  Good luck Weebly!

Seems that since 2016 people are asking for UNDO but no one at weebly cares.

Could you at least start the editor from the current website position. So whatever the live current website is that the editor Starts from There!

I just lost 3 hours of work thanks to Weebly not having a fundamental function of UNDO. It's more than infuriating. Who is going to may for my time since my client won't? Who is going to recreate what I just wrote and is now lost?

I totally agree undo missing is unacceptable. Even starting over a new website from scratch is not clear. You have start a new theme, before you delete the old one. Then you have to guess which one is your old website, because you could also delete your new one by mistake. How hilarious is that at least Weebly doesn't even ask you for a new project name so you can distinguish Smiley Happy Smiley Happy Smiley Happy

1000% agree. Lack of an "undo" feature is just one more reason why I think I'll be switching to a different website builder when my contract is up, even if means building it again from scratch. WTF Weebly (Square)?!
