site overview defaulting to Norwegian

Since last week, when I log into my account, it is defaulting to Norwegian language asking to translate into English. Why would this be happening and how can it be changed immediately? Needs to be rectified immediately!

Welcome, @CoachJulie

I'm not sure why that happened, but click on the language dropdown on the very bottom right and choose English. That should get your account converted back over to English for you.

Thanks for your reply. I did as you suggested, and the issue seemed to have been resolved, but when I logged back in a few days later it defaulted back to Norwegian.

Hi @currymonster Sorry for the inconvenience. Are you able to change the language from the dropdown in the bottom right corner of the dashboard?

Can you let me know if you notice the language changes after clicking a specific page or tab in the dashboard? I see this reported often, but I'm still not sure why this is happening.

This is happening to me as well.  When I add a button all of the editing commands are in Norwegian.  I don't see any drop down menu in the bottom right hand corner to select English.  Can you please post a picture of what you are referring to?

Hi  Yes, I can change the language but it doesn not always remain so when I next log in.

Regarding what page changes etc might cause it - I think it's mainly logging in and out, however the first time the page changed to Norwegian I was attempting to edit an image.  The edit options were not coing up (this issue continues btw) and the page was getting less and less responsive.

At this point, part of the page switched languages, so I tried getting back to the main edit suite landing page, thinking there was some kind of glitch.  The site was not responding at all by now and I was forced to close the page and re-open, by which time it was completely Norwegian and I was unable to uderstand what I needed to do to switch back to English.  I was forced to perform and internet search to find out, and risk clicking buttons without really understanding what I was doing!  This was around 2 weeks ago and since then it consistently reopens in Norwegian without warning.

Thank you so much for this additional information. Were you editing an item image by any chance? Or were you inside the site editor and editing an image on the website?

Hi, @NancyL. Can you try clearing all cache and cookies for Weebly.com? I wonder if it's not changing or deleting the right cookie.
