Verify a Domain for Facebook

Facebook requires me to verify my domain to enable instagram shopping. All of the verifcation methods involve adding tags or other bits of code or a DNS text record. How do I edit the source code to do this?

Thanks for posting. The dns text record would only apply if you have a custom domain name. The other methods should be able to be added under Website>Integrations. Did they provide a meta tag? I believe you can click "add new code". You will need to re-publish your site after adding the information before requesting verification.

You can edit the dns by clicking the menu in the top right corner of the dashboard, then Domains. Click the three dots to the right of your domain name and enter the information FB provided.

If Facebook provides something other than a TXT method for verification then yes. Is there a meta tag option?

Yes, Facebook says that I can also verified with meta tag : add a meta tag to the head section of your domain home page

Where should I paste the meta tag in weebly to verify my domain?

Hi there. Are you able to use the meta tag option and add it under Website>Integrations? You will also want to make sure both Instagram and Facebook are setup/converted to a business account. Once you do this we also have a section under Website>Facebook to link the two accounts.

Hi @musicbean. For sites built using the Weebly editor, open the site in the website editor, then go to Settings > SEO. You can add Facebook pixel or verification tags to the Header Code field there.

I am having the same issue. I do not have the Integrations option in my menu, and SEO does NOT have a "head" section to add anything to. Nowhere to be found in site settings or anywhere else. I am on my last straw and if this can't be resolved I will probably just switch to Shopify. Totally ridiculous.

Hi Adam,

In your reponse re: Weebly platform and FaceBook domain verification, you said Settings>SEO> add FB pixel OR FB verificaiton tag to the header code field.

• I'd had my Google Analytics code in the header section.

• I moved the Analytics code to the footer section,

• then added the FB pixel code in the Header section plus the FB verfication code below that.

Is that the correct procedure for all this stuff to work right?

Thank you!
