Log Out Button without enabling "Show "Log In | Register" in site menu "
Hello,
I am trying to add a "log out" button for when a user (employee) is logged in, without enabling the "Show "Log In | Register" in site menu" in the Members section of the Weebly settings.
Is there a way to do so? Or--is there a way for the "logout" or "my account" tab in the navigation menu only appear if a user is logged in?
Thanks!
Joe

It might be possible with some custom CSS rules, although I'm not sure if it would work or not. Is your site live, @joemichelucci?

I've been trying to find help online using CSS or HTML code using the embed-code feature on the page I need to log-out from.
There is only one page that is password protected and it is for employees only, so I think an embed code may work. I've read a lot about restoring cookies and then redirecting to the home page, but haven't had any luck yet.
And yes--website is live: www.cdi-ot.com

I should also say, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to CSS or HTML coding haha! Just what I've read in the past 24 hours online. Yikes.

The link details provided in this thread did not work for me. However, this link worked as the "logout" link and took me as a user to the homepage after clicking (and I got "logged out"):
https://www-yoursite-com.membership.editmysite.com/logout
Try this. You can use this link anywhere - navigation menu item, button on page, text with link, etc...
Hope it helps

I tried the button and it did work for a time. Now, apparently, Weebly does not log out a member until cookies are cleared.

Joe, create a page for an external link and have the link be yourdomain name followed by /members/logout. You can also have something in your header link to it too.

Hey Joe,
Can you help me with this? How did you set up an employee login on your website?
Thanks
