Issues with the site editor...

This has been pretty common of late. I open a new post, type in the tiltes, add the text block, start to type wher eit says click here, and it shuts down the editor, sometimes - but not always - saying there was a problem with the page.

When I reopen the editor (or it reloads), the draft is there, minus title. I open the draft, try again and again, it shuts down, losing anything I may have typed in.

I have to close the editor, reopen it, type in teh tile, save it, close the editor, reopen the draft and then it works. Sort of. Often, there is no tool bar for my text and I can't edit, link, change font, etc. Which means delete those text boxes and start all over again --- same problems, same attempts to reset until finally I get a working site builder.

What's the issue here? I havent changed anything else on my laptop (MacBook Pro operating on Sierra 10.12.4 using the site editor loaded onto Safari 10.1...)

Oh, you're right - don't know how I missed that on the end there. Does this happen with all of your sites or just one in particular?

Can't say for sure as Imusually only post on two of the sites (Black Swamp Quilters and Caro,Stitches once a month) it has been happening ALL the time on Carol Stamps

OK, I just edited my website "Black Swamp Quilters", and it worked.

Haven't tried the blog "Carol Stitches" yet to see if it is doing the same thing as the blog "Carol Stamps"...

"Black Swamp Quilters" http://blackswampquilters.weebly.com is a website so I don't know if this is pertinant or even important, but editing it today worked fine (I added one text block nda one file and edited some existing text blocks).

"Carol Stamps" http://538194912998600598.weebly.com is a blog, as is "Carol Stitches" http://210920746822434353.weebly.com and I haven't attempted to add posts to the latter. The glitch seems to take place when starting a new post, not editing old ones.

Thanks for the details! And you're able to create the problem consistently on the Carol Stamps site?

I don't know if I'd call it "create". But it has been happening regularly for at least a month.

If it's going to happen, it is clear from the beginning. I type a title, add a text box, start to type and it shuts down, and a "problem with this page" error report to Apple from Safari opens. THis results inWeebly rebooting the edit page, leaving a "draft" with no title, no text. Click on that draft and try again...same thing. Click a draft, type title, click save, exit editor, restart and SOMETIMES it's ok, sometimes not. IF not, repeat and repeat until I get a text box that allows me to type. Then it's fine from there on except, occasionally... no editing bar on the second text box.

THis lack of the editing bar on the text boxes is rarer...happened only one or two times. Delete-exit-restart worked there. Save did not help.

As I said, I can eventually get past it...by cancelling the post, deleting a lot of words and photos, exiting the editor and then starting over but sometimes that action of cancel-delete-exit-restart has be be done three of four times before I get a workable post.

Hey there! I haven't yet been able to make that occur locally. Just to be sure, it happens when you create a blog post, title it, then create and begin to fill a text element? Are there any steps there I may have missed?

You are right on.

i have found that if I title the post, save without opening a text box, exit the editor, reopen the editor and open the saved draft, that it will work. Clearly something to do with the interaction of that first text box with the title...

Just a note to say that this issue appears to have resolved itself...
