how to change from square editor to standard weebly editor?

i'm a webmaster with dozens of Weebly sites over the last 15 years.

i just had a new client purchase the Professional plan.

using her dashboard access i'm only offered a Square Online Store editor/site-building system. 

i need to be able to use the old Weebly builder with those tools i know so well. 

how can i switch from Square Online Store builder to the old Weebly builder?

a forum search here offered this:

"Only way to go back to the original editor is to create a new account, and then select "I just want a website" (vs. I want a website and ecommerce store) when given the option after you create a new site. The wording is confusing because even if you select "I just want a website" you can still use ecommerce."

so i attempted to Deactive Account and was told:

"Unable to disable your account - It looks like your application to accept credit cards was declined. We are unable to complete your deactivation."

 
what is going on? we never applied to use credit cards, we just wanted to build a non-e-commerce site.
 
what do we do now??? help please...

Does your client have a different email address, @wileycoyote2? It might simplest to just create a new account using a different email address. The other option will be for your client to contact Square support and get transferred to the Online Store team (aka Weebly), and then ask that the email address be freed up for a new account.

The other option will be for your client to contact Square support and get transferred to the Online Store team (aka Weebly), and then ask that the email address be freed up for a new account.

thank you for the assistance adam. yes, i'd definitely like to talk to a human at Square support, is that possible? (all i've been able to access so far is the auto-bot chat tree that doesn't help). thank you!

Hello, I have submitted the request to the link below but the response I got said "We do not have a feature like that for Square Online at this time, however, we can take note of any feedback and pass it along to our product team" I included the link to this tread in the request. Please help!

I upgraded my square account before realizing I could not use the weebly editor, I have now created a weebly account with another email and would like the upgraded account to be moved to weebly.

I saw in this thread we should log in to the original square account to post, but when I login to weebly via square it takes me to square and will not let me post to the weebly community via this account.

You can reach the team by scrolling to the bottom of our Help Center and clicking the contact us button. Once you see the automated chat window try typing something like "speak with a rep" to be directed to the teams available to your account.

Did you find a solution to the issue? I thought I signed up with the Weebly editor and I guess I messed up along the way and have the very limited Square one, so I am looking to change as well.

If you have the Square Online editor you will need to create a new account to get the Weebly editor, @Mac82. Make sure you say that you just want a website/don't want to sell right now when signing up.

Hi. I'm struggling with this as well. I have purchased a domain and set up an account to www.poseidoneducation.com with the new Square editor (yikes!). I want just a website with Weebly editor. I created a second account as advised above using a second email address [email protected] but now it is asking me to pay to upgrade my account so I can transfer my domain. Please advise.

I have the same issue as others here. I want to change from online store to regular website (They really should make that distinction more clear in the beginning!). 

If I create a new account with a new email, how do I get in touch with someone to have my plan switched over? I just signed up 2 weeks ago.

I'm trying to get this figured out as well. I followed the instructions on getting to a rep on the chat and it sent me to a link to tell me phone isn't available and email takes days. If you could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

How do I do that? I typed speak to a rep and it directs me to click the link "speak to rep" which takes me to a page that says no phone calls available and there's no live chat or anything.
