Editing logo text size in navigation bar

Hi,

I use the Birdseye theme and I do not want to change this. I like the idea of having the logo in the navigation bar, so that when scrolling down the pages, you can see it all the time at the top. I also want to add my brand name as text next to the logo (thanks to Weebly imageperfect editor), because it is obviously an important keyword and I do not want to hide it in the logo image.

But I do not manage to resize this text ! I go to the Weebly imageperfect editor, change the size, looks like it works, save it, but then the logo text still have this small size in the editor and the website.

And the text size that is actually set on the website is way smaller than the text size you can have using the text option for the site title (instead of logo). This is a nice size, but in this case you cannot have the logo...

So is there a way to have the logo AND a correctly-sized text in the navigation bar ?

Thank you

OK, I did quite a lot of testing and I think I can answer myself... in case it helps someone. Tell me if I'm wrong :

1- The text added to the logo in the Weebly imageperfect editor is added inside the image, so it does not have any SEO value.

2- So I decided to go for a larger logo including my brand name from the start. Still, I got quite some difficulty to adjust the size.
I ended up understand that the length of my image was a problem. Some more testing and I "discovered" that the maximum logo image size displayed is 200x40 px. (that's for Birdseye theme).
I modified my logo to fit these proportions. Now I am happy !

You're not wrong, @Paul_S. I believe the image can't be larger than that so it doesn't cause display issues with the navigation.  Thanks for sharing!

Hi Adam, I was wondering, if we cant make the navigation bar larger, can we somehow make the padding smaller so we can make the logo image a little bigger?  There is so much white space  that is just a waste above and below the logo and menu font.

I'm sure that's possible through CSS edits, @K-J-Ester. You'll probably need to inspect the code of your published site to see what classes are adding the padding so you know what to change or override.

Hi, in your first post you wrote " I like the idea of having the logo in the navigation bar, so that when scrolling down the pages, you can see it all the time at the top." I cannot find a way to get my logo into the navigation bar. How did you manage to do this? Thanks.

Hello N511RF! Having a logo or title in the navigation bar is part of certain themes, and usually something you can find in the Theme menu or on the top left of the bar in the editor. You may be using a theme that doesn't include that feature, however.
