Cannot get thumbnail for social media posts to work.

So I was doing some reading and found out that you should be able to add a thumbnail for when your link is shared on social media sites such as facebook by using a header code in SEO settings. However, I have tried this a million different ways but am still having no luck. I have tried putting the code on each page, the website as a whole, and only on the first page but it still is not working. Could anyone please help?

Here is the website I am trying to put a thumbnail on: www.lhalsteadmusic.com

Here is the image that I want to be the thumbnail:  https://www.lhalsteadmusic.com/uploads/1/2/1/8/121823786/editor/burl.jpg?1642536457

Here is the header code I have been using:

<meta property="og:image" content="https://www.lhalsteadmusic.com/uploads/1/2/1/8/121823786/editor/burl.jpg?1642536457" />

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @MesaPolcyn 👋

Sometimes it takes Facebook awhile to register the new information - especially if the link has not been shared before. I check the Facebook Debugger tool, and it appears to be loading properly now.

You can always use this tool in the future if you decide to change the image. Enter your URL, then click "debug" and "scrape again" until the correct image populates in the preview.
