Which program to use to be able to copy and paste some text to my blog article?

Using Word does not work to copy and paste my the text of my articles to the pages of the blog. Can anyone advise on the program to use to be able to that?

Any plain text editor - in Windows you can use Notepad....

I've tried notepad, it doesn't work either  I would also like to know what to use to copy and paste text from the website?

There are some free online tools to convert text into plain text.  As an example, here is one provided by MailChimp:
