Remove Log In Tab

How do I remove the log in tab off the mobile version of my website?  It does not appear when editing the mobile version of the site, yet when I open the site on my iPhone it is listed at the bottom.

Oh, I see what's happening. Try moving it to the Footer Code field instead. It's being overridden by something else in the site's style sheet, so it needs to come after that in order to override those rules.

I changed the Collapse Navigation option on the theme i was using and now your code works.

It didn't work with navigation collapsed.

However, the login options still show up in the checkout, if anyone knows how to remove it from there.

It seems a login link has appeared on my published site, recently, thoug is not visible on my layout when editing. I don't have a members area under settings. How can I get rid of this login option?

Thanks for your post, @Bobby1. When I check the site in your account I don't see a login link. Are you still seeing it?

Hi Adam, apparantly it was a button in the payment options that was standard on 'enable customer accounts' that was responsible for this. So I just disabled it. Would be better if we could choose where the login link would go of course...

Hi @patriciasdollar Click Store>Setup>Checkout>Checkout Options. Then click Edit and toggle off the option for Customer Accounts. Let me know if you run into any errors.

Hi Jon. I'm not sure which directions you followed (this is an older thread) but I was able to remove the login for you by clicking on Settings>Checkout>Advanced Settings and unchecking "customer accounts". Let me know if you still see it on your end.

I've removed the login link for you, @branandash You can enable/disable customer accounts by clicking Settings>Checkout>Advanced

Hi @mmskwared Some accounts will have the Customer Accounts option toggled on. You can find it under Settings > Checkout > Advanced Settings (if you do not see the Membership option in the site editor.) 

 

I was able to turn it off for you, and the change should be reflected on the live site. 😊

I see you helped a lot of the peole here removing their Login tab. I have the same problem, there's no Members section on my Settings, and I can't remove myself the Login page. Could you do that for me please, TampaBayBlackCar.com

NO; thanks for asking. Here is what you need to do: Using an Android phone (possibly also an Apple IOS) or even possibly a tablet please do the following (keeping in mind I only am sure this is what happens on an Android)-- Surf to my web site, http://www.videoimpressions.net In the upper right hand corner press the hamburger button. You will see 6 boxes: HOME, PORTFOLIO, ABOUT US, CONTACT US, PARTNERS AND LOG IN. It is the last box, LOG IN, that I want to remove and cannot seem to do so by myself despite going over the numerous suggestions here in the Community. Please note that if you surf to my web site on a PC these boxes appear as hot links below my logo, and no LOG IN tab is apparent on my home page when using a computer. I trust that this will help you to troubleshoot and thus be able to eliminate to LOG IN box when viewing my web site with a mobile device. Thank you!

Hmm.. It's strange that it is showing on mobile, but not desktop. I see you have the option unchecked under Settings>Members, however, it's been over a week since your last publish. Can you please publish the site and let us know if that affects the mobile view? I also notice you are using a custom theme. What was edited in the html/css area?
