missing DESIGN tab

Hi, 

      I haven't updated my website for a while , today when I logged in to update the stuff I realised there is no DESIGN tab in the menu. Was it removed or navigating to the tab has changed?. Ireally appreciate any info / help.

Sorry for the confusion! Everything you used to find on the Design tab is now on the Theme tab.

I'm looking under the Theme tab but I don't see how to layer my menus as shown in the tutorial using Design Tab. I want to be able to build menus under each of my tabs.

I can't seem to find how to turn the search function on? Where is this located?

Hello kayleemaz! You should be able to use the Search Box element to place an option for your users to search wherever you want. Some themes will also have the option to place it in the top bar, which you can find under the Theme menu.

I'm unable to change the text/title or font color on the Search Results page using the Themes tab.

Hi,

I am looking to change the background of my site. 

I found the background tutorial, but this only states to use the 'design' tab. I read the comments on this feed, but when I go into 'Themes' there is no option to change backgrounds, only to 'import themes'. (I don't have the files to support this)

Hello Anna!

Methods to change backgrounds have changed quite a bit since this post initially went out. Now, you can usually click a section's background to switch it, or make a header change in the Pages tab. Where were you looking to make the changes?

1. I am trying to add an image as background to some/all of my pages. 

I tried clicking on each page, but no options appear. 

2. I have found the options for changing headers - thanks. Is there a way to have different headers on different pages, or is this only an option in upgraded versions?

You can have the same or different headers on the pages of your site (instructions at the bottom of this article):

The site you're linking to there isn't run by Weebly. While they are using a subdomain, and offering some handy advice, they are simply using a Weebly subdomain. You may want to use their Contact form to let them know in this case, as I'm sure they'll appreciate the input!
